September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Shocking Statistics
This month, nearly 1,200 families in the U.S. will be told the words no parent ever wants to hear: “your child has cancer.”
Around the world, the crisis is even greater:
each year nearly 400,000 children develop cancer, and 90% of children with cancer live in low- and middle-income countries, where access to diagnosis and treatment is scarce.
Thanks to hospitals like St. Jude, survival rates have risen dramatically.
Through its partnership with the World Health Organization, the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer is working to ensure that 6 out of 10 children with the most common cancers survive by 2030.
💛 Together, we can help change the odds. Every donation to childhood cancer research makes a difference. #GoGold
