Strength Comes From Doing What Scares You

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the things which you think you cannot do.
— ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

I love this quote because it reminds us that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s action in spite of it.

Fear can either paralyze us or propel us forward.

Nearly 3 years ago, when I found a lump in my breast, I was terrified it was cancer. But I knew that sitting at home worrying wouldn’t change the outcome, so I chose to act and advocate for my health.

I was initially told no one could see me for 2 months.
Instead of giving up, I kept calling over and over until I got an appointment for two weeks later.

If I had let fear stop me from making those calls or fighting to get an appointment sooner, my story might look very different today.

The Choice is Yours

Fear will always exist. The choice is whether we let it stop us, or continue to take steps forward.

Advocate for yourself. Do what you think you can’t.

Be unafraid 💖
