What I Learned in the Trenches of Breast Cancer

You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.
— SHERYL CROW, BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR

When you’re deep in the trenches, whether it’s cancer treatment or another battle, it can be hard to see the light ahead.

The hours crawl and hopelessness sets in. Sometimes it takes everything you have to fight back tears or get from one breath to the next.

But here’s the truth: this fight is temporary. Every minute you endure is one minute closer to the life waiting for you on the other side.

And when you get there, you’ll notice how the good days slowly begin to outnumber the bad.

From Hopelessness to Hopeful

Soon, the smallest things—a cup of coffee, a hug, the sound of laughter—will fill you with a gratitude so deep it takes your breath away.

I’ve been in those trenches and I made it out. And so will you.

Hang in there and keep moving forward

You are already one step closer to the best days of your life.
