Why Your Daily Steps Matter More Than You Think
Many studies show that staying active can help lower the risk of breast cancer recurrence, but new research highlights something even simpler and more powerful:
walking a little bit every day can dramatically improve longevity for cancer survivors.
Cancer Survivors that Walk More Live Longer
The American Heart Association followed the physical routines of thousands of post-menopausal women with a cancer history for 8 years. What they found was incredible:
🚶♀️ Walking 5,000+ steps a day lowered the risk of dying from any cause by 40%!
And even better, “Each additional 2,500 steps per day was linked to a 34% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.”
Wondering how you can add a few extra steps into your daily routine?
Park further from your work office.
Walk up and down your stairs more at home.
Or take a quick walk around the block every day at lunch.
Movement doesn’t have to be exhausting to be life-changing.
What’s your favorite way to sneak more steps into your day?
