4 Steps to Reaching Milestones

Four steps to achievement: Plan purposefully. Prepare prayerfully. Proceed positively. Pursue persistently.

Over the weekend, I celebrated 2 years cancer-free! 🎉

Something I could barely imagine accomplishing when I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 2 breast cancer at 39 years old.

But I didn’t just get here by chance, or on my own.

Like any complex design project, this journey required purposeful planning, prayerful preparation, and persistence through each phase.

As a software user experience designer, I’ve applied these same principles to many projects at my work.

My team doesn’t wake up with the perfect product idea, or know what to build from day 1.

We start by planning our milestones, preparing for what’s ahead, and then move forward together with positivity and persistence.

Whether it’s building a product or rebuilding your life, progress happens when you work together on achieving one milestone at a time.
