Being Kind to Yourself in Uncertain Times

No one knows how things are going to work out. So if you’re going to presume the negative, then you actually owe it to yourself to also presume the positive.

This Mel Robbins quote came from an interview I watched recently where she shared a lot of interesting thoughts about manifesting.

But the part that really stayed with me was when she said “you actually owe it to yourself to also presume the positive.”

Last month, I shared a post about how our brains try to protect us by preparing for the worst. That’s human nature, and certainly ok.

But we deserve to put just as much energy into preparing for things to go well. We owe it to ourselves to be kind, compassionate, and optimistic. 🫶

It’s not always easy, but it IS possible.

And the more you practice presuming the positive, the easier it will become in the future. ☺️
