How I Choose to Celebrate Overcoming Cancer at Christmas

From jingle bells to sleigh bells, bells are a symbol of Christmas and hope—and for many cancer survivors, they carry even deeper meaning.

Ringing the bell at my cancer center after finishing chemo and targeted therapy marked powerful milestones.

How I Choose to Celebrate Overcoming Cancer at Christmas

A Season of Joy and Hope

My first Christmas after treatment was complicated. I was grateful to be cancer-free, yet still processing all I’d been through.

Initially I didn’t want any reminders of cancer during Christmas time.

Then I found the perfect symbol of both celebration and hope: a bell ornament that reads, “I Fought, I Overcame. And Now, I Celebrate.”

Now, I look forward to ringing this bell each Christmas to honor how far I’ve come.

My hope for you this season is that you find joy and hope in ways that feel meaningful to you. 🔔🩷
