When Kindness and Gratitude Come Full Circle

November 13 is World Kindness Day, and I think we often forget how powerful kindness really is—how much it lifts others and how good it feels in return.

But kindness isn’t one-sided, it’s something we can give back to others too.

When I was going through active treatment, I felt inspired to show my appreciation to the incredible nurses at my infusion center. During the long hours I spent there every 3 weeks, they comforted me, cared for me, and cheered me on every step of the way.

When Kindness and Gratitude Come Full Circle

For Caring Hands and Hearts

I decided to gift them my favorite hand lotion with a note thanking them for their “caring hearts and hands.”

When I brought the basket to my next appointment, they were so surprised and touched. It instantly took me back to that first day I met them, when their kindness made me feel equally seen and comforted.

That’s when I realized that kindness is a loop… a circle that just keeps going, giving, and growing.
