Celebrating 2 Years Since Finishing Chemo
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
When doctors told me I’d have to endure 4.5 months of chemotherapy with dozens of potential side effects, it felt impossible.
But today I’m celebrating 2 years since finishing chemo—proud, grateful, and stronger than I ever imagined.
During 4.5 months of chemo, I lived by this quote from Charles Kettering:
Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
Although I had so many doubts during chemo, I kept reminding myself that I’d overcome other moments in my life that felt just as daunting:
Applying to dozens of jobs with no offers.
Starting over after an unexpected layoff.
Hoping to get pregnant after years of trying.
Delivering naturally after advanced labor without meds.
Facing a breast cancer diagnosis at 39, while balancing motherhood, marriage, and work.
Each time, I convinced myself there was only one option: to keep moving forward.
I faced each challenge head-on, fueled by the love and encouragement of my incredible support squad.
Today, I don’t just celebrate my anniversary of finishing chemo.
I celebrate proving to myself that the ✨impossible✨ can be done.
You can too. 💪
