More Than Luck: A Grateful Take on an Irish Proverb
St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow — a day that is usually associated with all things green and lucky. 🍀
Today reminded me of a different kind of luck.
I celebrated 11 years at my job 🎉 and I received the sweetest messages from colleagues and friends that made me feel truly appreciated.

As I read through the congratulation messages, I realized I was experiencing this Irish proverb in real life:
“It is in the shelter of each other that people live.”
At work, the shelter of others makes me smarter, pushing me to learn, grow, and succeed.
At home, the shelter of others creates a life full of love, dependability, and shared experiences that bring me joy.
None of our successes happen alone.
And the beautiful thing about offering shelter to others is discovering they return the favor ten-fold.
